They come by the thousands. Hundreds of thousands. Broad-winged Hawks, Swainson’s Hawks, Peregrine Falcons, Kestrels and scores of other raptors.
Not wanting to cross the Gulf, using the updrafts and thermals from the mountains, they funnel through the skies above Veracruz, Mexico. A half million in one day stream through... truly a River of Raptors!
